For ice cream shops

A stamp card for ice cream shops

An ice cream shop is seasonal: customers vanish in autumn and have to be found again in spring. Those who collected with you last year, you can reach with a message this year.

  • No app for your customers
  • No card required
  • A free plan that never expires

Where the paper card lets an ice cream shop down

Three familiar situations, and how Loyaltee solves them.

  • The problem

The card is lost over the winter

    With Loyaltee

The digital card stays on the phone, and stamps don't expire by default, so in spring customers carry on where they stopped in autumn.

  • The problem

In spring you can't reach anyone

    With Loyaltee

With a campaign started by hand you can message everyone who agreed. On a card saved in Google Wallet it arrives as a free notification.

  • The problem

    Long queues in summer

    With Loyaltee

Scanning the card takes a few seconds, and with an NFC-capable Android phone it's a single tap.

Reward ideas

Rewards they come back for

A programme can have several rewards, small and large: a free item, a percentage or fixed amount off, or a gift that only a campaign gives.

Campaigns

Campaign ideas for ice cream shops

Automatic campaigns are set up once, then run on their own: they watch what happens with each customer and reach out at the right moment.

How the message reaches your customer

The system picks on its own which channel reaches the customer.

  1. Google Wallet notificationShows up on the customer's lock screen if they saved the card.
  2. EmailStraight to their inbox, under your shop's name.
  3. SMSA short text message, straight to their phone.

Earn rules

Rules don't send anything: they decide what earns how many stamps or points.

  • A stamp per scoop You tie the rule to the scoop product: two scoops earn two stamps, a soft drink earns none.
  • Daily maximum A customer can get at most three stamps a day, so the card doesn't fill up in a single afternoon.
  • Double stamps on weekdays A rule for weekdays only, with double stamps, so the queue isn't only at the weekend.
  • Launching a seasonal flavour A rule tied to one product, with a start and an end date: the new flavour earns double stamps in its first week.

How it works

Three steps, and the stamps start adding up

  1. A printable counter poster with the join QR code and the rewards

    Put up the QR code

The poster is made for you, rewards included. Print it and put it on the counter.

  2. The join page on a customer’s phone: a single e-mail field

    The customer joins

They scan it, enter their e-mail address, and the card is on their phone. No app, no password.

  3. The counter view: the customer’s stamps and a reward ready to redeem

    One tap at the counter

Staff scan the card with their own phone and add the stamp. No expensive hardware.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

More questions and answers on the home page.

Do stamps survive the winter?

Yes, unless you set an expiry. Stamps don't expire by default, so in spring the customer carries on where they stopped in autumn.

Do two scoops earn two stamps?

If you tie the stamp to the scoop product, yes: it follows the number in the basket. If every purchase is one stamp, then one.

How do I reach last year's customers in spring?

With a campaign started by hand you can message everyone who agreed. On a card saved in Google Wallet it arrives as a free notification.

How many stamps should an ice cream card have?

Because a customer often buys several scoops at once, a 10-stamp card with a daily limit is a good start. You can change the card's length at any time.

Do I need a till system or new hardware?

No. A phone or a tablet at the counter is enough: you scan the customer's card and record the products, or just the total. Your till stays as it is.
