Sound familiar?
Where the paper card lets a café down
Three familiar situations, and how Loyaltee solves them.
-
The problem
The card was left at home
With LoyalteeThe morning coffee is part of the routine; the paper card isn't. The digital card is on the phone, in Google Wallet too, so every coffee counts.
-
The problem
No time to stamp at rush hour
With LoyalteeScanning a QR code takes a few seconds, and with an NFC-capable Android phone it's a single tap. The queue keeps moving.
-
The problem
You don't know who has stayed away
With LoyalteeThe customer list shows when each person last came, and flags anyone for whom far more time has passed than usual.
Reward ideas

A programme can have several rewards, small and large: a free item, a percentage or fixed amount off, or a gift that only a campaign gives.

-
10% for 8 stampsPercentage discount
Money off coffee beans

Only the birthday campaign gives it; it isn't on the rewards list.
-
+1 For every successful referralReferral bonus
A bonus stamp for a referral

Earn rules
Rules don't send anything: they decide what earns how many stamps or points.
- Double stamps on quiet days A rule that only applies on the days you pick and gives double stamps.
- Launching a new drink A rule tied to one product, with a start and an end date: the new drink earns double stamps in its first week.
- At one shop only If you have several shops, a rule can apply to just one, for example the new opening in its first week.
- Daily maximum A customer can get at most two stamps a day, so the card doesn't fill up in a single day.

How it works
Three steps, and the stamps start adding up
-
Put up the QR code
The poster is made for you, rewards included. Print it and put it on the counter.
-
The customer joins
They scan it, enter their e-mail address, and the card is on their phone. No app, no password.
-
One tap at the counter
Staff scan the card with their own phone and add the stamp. No expensive hardware.
How many stamps should a café loyalty card have?
8–10 stamps is a good starting point. Fewer brings the first reward sooner, more makes it cheaper for you. You can change the card's length at any time, and put a smaller reward halfway along it too.
Does stamping slow down the morning rush?
No. Staff scan the customer's QR code with their own phone or a tablet, and the stamp is already there. With an NFC-capable Android phone, one tap is enough.
Do takeaway orders earn stamps too?
Yes. The stamp is for the purchase, not the table: you scan the card for a takeaway just the same.
Can I give stamps for coffee only?
Yes. A stamp can be earned on every purchase, on one product or on a whole category. If you tie it to coffee, two coffees earn two stamps and a pastry earns none.
Do I need a till system or new hardware?
No. A phone or a tablet at the counter is enough: you scan the customer's card and record the products, or just the total. Your till stays as it is.
